Primary Membership Effective January 1, 1995, a principal, partner, corporate officer of office manager can declare a "primary" board of affiliation regardless of office location. The Designated REALTORŪ will be assessed annual dues based on the total number of individuals licensed or certified to engage in the real estate profession.

While the Board of Choice concept will eliminate the need to hold multiple memberships in Boards, individuals may want to maintain membership in more than one Board. Membership will be available in secondary Boards on terms and conditions no more stringent than the requirements established in the Board's Bylaws for REALTORŪ membership. Membership will be granted to non-principal licensees who hold REALTORŪ membership in their primary Board without any requirement that the Designated REALTORŪ they are licensed with hold membership. However, MLS services will only be available to secondary members if their Designated REALTORŪ participates in the MLS.
